Robert LEFÈVRE (1755 -1830)

 

Robert Lefèvre or Robert Jacques François Faust Fefèvre: born in September, 24th, 1755 in Bayeux. Died in October, 3rd, 1830 in Paris. 18th – 19th Century, French. History painter, religious composition, portrait and drawer. His father wanted him to work in law, but he preferred painting. His artworks from Chateau d’Airel, helped him to keep up his studies in Paris under Regnault direction. He obtained a great reputation as a portrait painter. He also painted Napoleon and Josephine portrait.
