BIOGRAPHY

Léon François COMERRE (1850-1916)

 

 

Born October 10, 1850 in Trélon, died in Paris on February 20, 1916. Grand Prix of Rome in 1875. He obtained a third medal at the Salon of 1875, a second medal in 1881, and a medal of honor at the World Exhibition of Antwerp in 1885. He was knighted the Legion of Honor. Her main paintings are: “Star, Dancer”, “Portrait of Miss Fould in Japanese”, “Pierrot, role of Don Carlos”, “Portrait of Mrs. Theo”, “Samson and Dalila”, “Sirens and Bacchantes”. He decorated the function room in the city hall of the IVth arrondissement district, and the function room in the Prefecture of the Rhône.
